As a Peer Instructor for First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS), this honoree is thoughtful and creative. They taught a course new to FIGS called “Exploring Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design” and supported students in their confidence and intellectual growth. Students were challenged to think as future designers, creating accessible and inclusive spaces for diverse populations such as those with disabilities. Their vulnerability and enthusiasm with students and fellow FIGS Peer Instructors has made them an exceptional peer leader, which has also led to their new role as a 2019 Senior Peer Instructor.
