Christie Schweighardt
Alexandra “AJ” Edenzon is a student who has enhanced the quality of life of the Rutgers community by helping establish the Unified Sports Club which links Rutgers students with athletes from the Special Olympics. Through this organization she has created an environment of inclusion and acceptance through sports. Additionally, she serves as the student chairperson for the Rutgers Special Friends Day in which 100 children with special needs are invited to campus to spend the day with Rutgers Students. Over the past 2 years she has recruited hundreds of student athletes to serves as volunteers. Not only is she passionate about inclusion but has been able to spark that passion in others.
