Christie Schweighardt
This recipient has a profound passion for volunteer experience. He is the founder of the Youth Empowerment Club, a student organization that connects students to volunteer tutoring opportunities at Roosevelt Elementary School in New Brunswick. As the President of the Youth Empowerment Club, he has fundraised $4,000 through grants and various fundraising events to fund the costs of the Asset Based Community Driven Education program at Roosevelt Elementary School. In addition, Eshan recruits and holds training sessions for over 100 students each semester, and has been invited to speak publicly about his efforts at Rutgers and nation-wide conferences.
