Christie Schweighardt
As President of STEM Veterans USA, Kenneth strived to do something impactful and charitable. He chose to collaborate with Vets4Warriors, a peer-to-peer support service for veterans, service members, their families, and caregivers. The group decided to organize a 5K run/walk involving a t-shirt design contest, virtual participation, team/group registrations and some friendly rivalry competitions. In addition, the group has also held professional development meetings every other week of the semester, organized a Hackathon, and created a comprehensive tutoring network to ensure the academic success of underclassmen.
