Emily Sayer
This honoree has earned the Champion of Teaching and Learning Award for his Learning Assistant (LA) role at the Learning Centers. He employs his leadership and mentoring skills to facilitate collaborative learning among students in recitations and study groups for both Physics and Computer Science courses. His ability to generate ideas from students, support their exploration of content, and deepen their content knowledge is truly valued by faculty, staff, students, and peer LAs. Based upon his professionalism and positive impact on student learning, he was asked by faculty to co-teach a Data Structures recitation as an undergraduate student.
