This honoree has embodied outstanding service throughout their college career. During their sophomore year, they participated in the Rutgers Alternative break trip to New Orleans, where they worked on Project Lazaruz, an initiative to provide housing to homeless people living with HIV/AIDS. They then went on to co-lead an Alternative break trip to West Virginia during their junior year, focusing on supporting individuals facing food insecurity. This year they stayed on-campus and led a local Alternative Break initiative to support the community that surrounds the university.
