This honoree has made a significant impact on campus through their varied and thoughtful involvement. As the Director of Community Service for RUPA, they led some of the largest service initiatives on campus, including Rutgers Scarlet Day of Service activating more than 1,500 students in service across more than 30 different sites in and beyond New Jersey – including the organization’s first-ever international site. As an intern for Off-Campus Living and Community Partnerships, they assist with the Student Food Pantry working to de-stigmatize food insecurity and raise awareness. Through their involvement in the Scarlet Council, they represent 13 universities as the New Jersey and Delaware delegate for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. And as a classroom tutor in the Petey Greene Program, they travel each week to a prison in New Jersey to assist incarcerated individuals preparing for their GED.
