Mansi Shah

This honoree is a student of the Honors College and studying Cell Biology and Neuroscience. In addition to their difficult and demanding course load, they find time to be involved in multiple organizations and leadership positions at Rutgers. Last fall, they developed the “Clinical Internship Program in Correctional Medicine,” the first of its kind in the nation. This internship program will allow students interested in medicine to shadow doctors at New Jersey prisons. This student is committed to providing spaces for other students to learn and their advocacy for solutions to social justice inequalities.
