Emily Woods
This honoree has worked tirelessly to overcome gender disparities in STEM. They are a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering and were awarded the Microsoft Conference Scholarship for attending The Grace Hopper Conference for Women in Computing in 2016. As a leader of the Women and Engineering Organization in Bangladesh, they helped organize one of the first conferences that brings women across the country together to share research. This honoree’s high-quality research, community leadership, and personal work with female scientists has been exceptional.
