Rutgers Hillel
The Douglass Governing Council has been involved in numerous initiatives to support Douglass and Rutgers students, including making sure period products are available on campus and letting students know where to find them; advocating for more food options on the Douglass campus, which led to the dining halls being open longer for students who needed to eat later at night; safety walks to make sure administration knows the dangers of walking on Douglass at night; and now a Plan B initiative to make it accessible to students. All of these initiatives require bridge building between university departments, the administration, and students, and the Douglass Governing Council acts as that bridge every day.
