Evan came to Rutgers after a successful high school football career. He wanted to continue his athletic journey while studying at Rutgers by playing intramural sports. During that time, the intramural program was looking for referees and Evan was quick to jump on the opportunity. For many that participate in sports, officiating can become a welcome addition to their careers. Becoming an official allows players to see the other side of the field, to gain a better understanding of the rules, and to gain an appreciation for those that put on the striped shirts.
