Hannah finally arrived On the Banks in Spring of 2021 after deferring her admissions in an effort to work through Covid-19 restrictions. Upon her arrival from the Netherlands, Hannah not only faced the usual challenges of adjusting to Rutgers, but also had the added expectations of what she was expected to bring to an already-championship level team. She faced those expectations head on by making the Dean’s List in the classroom, and by racing on the Varsity 8, which placed 2nd in the Big 10 Championships, and then placing 5th in the National Championships, earning Big 10 and Rutgers Athletics’ Freshman of the year along the way.
