Jason Kawalec
Swarnima has displayed countless qualities that have allowed her to flourish within the scientific and Rutgers community throughout her undergraduate career. Her interdisciplinary coursework in biology, chemistry, and engineering has allowed her to recognize how incorporating engineering principles in biomedical innovations can directly improve the health and well-being of the entire population. She started working under Professor Charles Roth at Rutgers University in the Biomedical Engineering Department through ARESTY Summer Science Program in June 2020 and has since continued her research on biofilm formations in pulmonary infections.
