Peristera Vikatos
Taha has shown incredible initiative this past academic year in founding the Refugee Health Connection Club. He worked this past summer as an intern in the English Language Department at Interfaith RISE, a refugee resettlement agency located in Highland Park. Taha tutored students in English language acquisition, helped organize and run a computer lab, and drafted an English for Work curriculum. Taha specifically used his Urdu language skills to provide workforce training and guidance to victims of human trafficking, by assisting them in job training, safety protocols, and workplace norms.
