Evyatar Kanik
Candace is a PhD Candidate in the department of Kinesiology and Health where she is currently investigating two different projects. She believes collaboration is the future of science and strives to promote interdisciplinary studies and research. She has spoken at career panels, including the Douglass Project, about working to stand out against the associated stereotypes of being a female Hispanic in STEM. Of equal note, she has been a Bunting-Cobb Graduate Mentor for three years now, where female STEM students and shares her experiences and struggles in hopes of helping future scientists.
