Christian Villatoro has been a Student Center employee for the past 4 years. He started as a work study student and by his third year was a Senior Manager. He has tirelessly worked to create an atmosphere of pride and commitment at the Centers and serves as a role model to his fellow managers and the staff that work at the Centers. Examples of his good work include his review of manuals and procedures to provide better services and the creation of a new logging technique using the technology of Trello for Event Staff that leads to better accountability. In addition to his work with the Student Centers he was a top three candidate for the Rutgers Student Employee of the Year Award in 2015, recipient of the Association of College Unions (ACUI) Region VII Undergraduate Student of the Year Award, selected to attend ACUI conference in 2016 and recipient of the ACUI I-LEAD scholarship. His nominator goes on to say “Christian has not only impacted our community but also represents Rutgers well and helps spread the RU name in a positive light. As Christian graduates this Spring he will be missed as he is truly one of a kind, however his work will continue as he has been the creator of many new things therefore his impact will not be forgotten.”
