Vlad Carrasco is a high-achieving student involved in a variety of organizations. He serves as the Livingston Caucus Chair for RUSA and the Director of University Relations for RHA. In these roles this student has represented the student body and provided a platform for students to voice their concerns with a RUSA Town Hall. This platform was also the basis of communication with administrators. Holding positions in both organizations, he took it upon himself to lead an initiative of collaboration. He went about this by writing a bill to the RUSA Constitution called the Unification Act. This bill required a RUSA representative to attend RHA meetings both for each campus and university-wide level. This bold initiative enabled both these governing organizations to work together to represent the student body. He is able to maintain a 3.7 GPA while being involved in five organizations. In addition to RHA and RUSA, he is involved in Circle K International, The Daily Targum and College Democrats of New Jersey. Despite his tremendous involvement on campus, he is able to deliver both in his academic and extracurricular endeavors. His ability to devote himself fully, to both RHA and RUSA, enabled him to foster collaboration between the largest and leading governing organizations on campus, which makes him deserving of the Bridge Builder Award.
