Evan Covello has shown that collaborative effort can lead to success through his roles as both Vice President of the Rutgers University Student Assembly and the Associate Director of the Association of Big Ten Students. He has attended hearings at the White House to advocate for over 500,000 students on issues related to sexual assault, college affordability and shared governance and collaborated on the U ARE NOT ALONE CAMPAIGN to promote campus resources for mental health. He planned the first Association of Big Ten Students Conference at Rutgers which hosted 14 Big Ten schools and over 75 delegates. He is receiving the Bridge Builder Award for his collaboration, dedication to students, and leadership.
