Aasha Shaik
While pursuing their degree, this student has served their peers as president of UndocuRutgers where they have been devoted to assisting and supporting undocumented students. In addition to dedicating their time to the Rutgers community, they teach students at the First Baptist Church in New Brunswick who are preparing to take U.S. Citizenship exams and are also a teacher’s aid at Above and Beyond Child Care Center in Highland Park. They use their resources to create allies and network support across the Rutgers Community and beyond, proving to be both an excellent student and an active student leader.
