The Space Technology Association of Rutgers
This student organization works to create an environmentally-friendly community, working closely with animal sanctuaries, making frequent trips for tours of saved animals, volunteering, and donating profits made through vegan bake sales. They diligently collaborated with the Philosophy Club to find global and local activists to bring to campus to discuss food issues. They are also working with Rutgers Dining to address needs and concerns of students, and have been able to achieve dietary change for vegan community members, such as vegan cream cheese, vegan ice cream, and more vegan/vegetarian options in the dining halls and for take-out.
