This award recipient is published with multiple peer-reviewed journals, including “PLOS Computational Biology” and “Annals of Epidemiology.” They participated in two separate research experiences at Moffitt Cancer Center before college, both resulting in publications. In the summer following their freshman year, they participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates at IUPUI, Indianapolis. This year, they are engaged in the Aresty Research Assistant Program in Rutgers and a Research for Credit experience in the Winfree Lab. They presented the results of their research projects at the 2017 HIP IMO Day at Moffitt Cancer Center, the 2019 Indiana Undergraduate Math Research Conference, the IUPUI CRL Student Summer Poster Symposium, and the IUPUI Engineering and Technology REU Poster Symposium. They have also remotely presented the results of research with Aresty, due to social distancing, and will be presenting work to the Winfree Lab within the month. In the summer of 2020, they are planning to participate in the DIMACS REU remotely as the 2020 Bernstein Scholar.
