Members of the NAACP have been successful in connecting the administration with voices and concerns in the black community and by being instrumental in the forming of the ‘Rutgers Black Diaspora Coalition.’ This coalition has come together on many occasions to vet and unpack the black experience on and off campus at Rutgers University, and bring those concerns to all that would listen, including the administration. They were also instrumental in organizing the Rally Against Racism and For Black Solidarity, and consistently participate in bridging the gap causes and events such as the Interfaith-Rise Walk for Refugees.
