Ajita continuously strives to give back to the community at Rutgers and beyond in any way she can. Ajita’s commitment to the Rutgers community is evident from her very first year with her involvement in the Residence Hall Association as a Community Service Chair in her residence hall, as well as being a first-year representative for the Rutgers Engineering Honors Council (REHC). In the coming years, she took on more responsibilities within REHC as Keynote Chair, First-Year Mentorship Chair, and now, External Vice President. Through these roles, Ajita has been able to organize speaker events that aim to expose students to the various career paths and fields of engineering in addition to pairing first-years with an upperclass student mentor to help guide them through their college journey. Ajita often jumps at the opportunity to give back to her community in any small or big way, like speaking on panels geared to advise underclass students about summer opportunities.
