Jillian has invested her passion and dedication into three main organizations: New Student Orientation and Family Programs, the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA), and the Rutgers Asian Student Council. Jillian’s first leadership experience at Rutgers was being an Orientation Leader where she has embodied Rutgers values to personally assist over 300 new students in their transition to Rutgers and educate on university resources, involvement opportunities, and community culture. While serving on RUSA, Jillian simultaneously served on ASC’s executive board as its RUSA Representative. As a result of the rise in anti-Asian violence related to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Jillian sought to expand her current involvement within the Asian community. In this capacity, she has led numerous initiatives pertaining to diversity and inclusion within higher education academia, intercultural dialogue and collaboration among different ethnic groups, and mental health de-stigmatization through community-based resources.
